Every gospel meeting is a special event full of anticipation and possibilities for encouragement and growth. Our meeting this year will welcome back brother Patrick Morrison. Patrick worked with Mabelvale from the summer of 1999 until May 2001 when he and Abby moved to Bankston, Alabama, where Patrick began his first full time located work as a gospel preacher. Since then their family has grown to include Lydia, now eight months old.
Patrick is a native of Jasper, Alabama. He is a 1999 graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching. He has also received his B.A. degree in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, Alabama.

OUR SICK

Ruth West, sister of Eunice Watson, is now at home.
Emma Lou Adams, sister of Carolyn Howell and Waymon Minor went home on Saturday.
Larry May, father of Kellie Golden, got a bad report last week. A new brain tumor has developed, hopefully it can be removed with surgery but the previous tumor still remains. Please remember him in your prayers.

BRIDAL SHOWER

All ladies are invited to a Bridal Shower for Laura Tollett, fiancée of Scott Perry, on Sunday, April 27th, at 3:00 PM in the multipurpose room. She is registered at J.C. Penney and Wal-Mart.

TEEN SING

The Teen Sing will be after the evening service on Sunday, April 20th at the home of Brad & Jill Horton. Girls bring chips and boys bring drinks.

WORK DAY

There will be a workday on Saturday, April 19th for both men and women. We will do spring cleaning inside the building and yard work outside. We will begin about 9:00 AM.

Although this is a resurrection sermon, it was planned before we realized it was going to be broadcast on Easter Sunday. It is still appropriate. Perhaps even more people will be attentive to it since their thoughts will be turned in that direction.
