Will the majority of people be saved?

I just finished reading an article that expressed the opinion of some as to who will go to heaven.  Apparently 1000 Americans were asked whether a list of people were going to heaven or hell.  The responses were as follows, the percentages being those who answered "yes."
                           Oprah Winfrey  66%
                           Michael Jordan 65%
                           Hillary Clinton  55%
                           Bill Clinton  52%
                           Pat Robertson  47%
                           Dennis Rodman 28%
                           The Polled  87%
There were obviously some interesting results to the poll.  Now let me make a few comments:
First, the majority of people will not be saved.  This is plainly taught in Matthew 7:13, 14, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Second, ultimately who is going to be sent to heaven after death will not be determined by a polling process.  We alone can determine our eternal destiny and that must be done now before it is too late.
Third, men cannot vote on our salvation because not all use God's criteria.  The Bible teaches that certain things are necessary parts of obedience:  hearing, belief, repentance, confession, baptism, and faithfulness.  If anyone lacks any of these things he is lost according to the Divine Standard:  the Bible.  That is why Ecclesiastes (12:13) contains these words in its conclusion, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
